HENNEPIN — STEELE Fitness is planning to open a new rooftop training space above the Lunds grocery store opening Thursday at 12th & Hennepin.
It will be the state’s first full outdoor, rooftop training area, according to a STEELE Fitness news release. The new 8,000-square-foot, two-story fitness center above Lunds will open later this summer.
It will have indoor and outdoor workout spaces, luxury locker rooms and a retail space. The rooftop space will be heated so it can be used for three seasons.
“We’re excited to bring our unmatched training and nutrition services to downtown Minneapolis,” said Steele Smile, founder and CEO of STEELE Fitness, in a statement. “We’ll be providing expert personal training, group classes and our unique mix of workout gear to people who live, work and play in and around downtown Minneapolis.”
The new downtown location will be the fourth location for STEELE Fitness in the Twin Cities.
